Our Worm Salt is one of the most popular salt grinds used in worm making. Our worm salt has low density, a high dissolve rate, strong durability, great liquid absorption and, of course, a highly salty sensation. Worm salt can be added at any stage of pouring. Adding worm salt before heating plastic will result in a higher absorption and dissolve rate than adding salt to poured/cooling worms. Worm Salt will work with any liquid plastic, including MF Plastic and Do-it Essentials plastic. We recommend starting with 4 to 6 ounces of worm salt per quart of plastic. Increase or decrease the amount used to your preference.
Quart jar contains approximately 2 pounds of salt. Please note, settling may occur during shipping.
